Occidental College · CS + Studio Art

I make tools for people who draw.

I'm Madelyn, a student at Occidental College studying CS and studio art in the same breath. I work across research, interface design, and frontend code: learning, creating, and experimenting as I go.

Practice Areas

How I like to work.

Research

I love collaborating with people.

Forums, interviews, sticky notes. I want to understand what's actually going on before I open Figma or VS Code.

Design

I work on things I'm passionate about.

I've been drawing my whole life. Passion is what pushed ItEra from a simple Java quiz to a full research-driven product.

Build

I like making things that are practical.

Collaborating on the biochemistry database taught me that useful and unglamorous can still be deeply meaningful.

STUDIO ART

I make art too.

Drawing, mixed media, and illustration shapes how I think about color, composition, and storytelling in my design work.
